Day 11: Red Necklace from Butler&Wilson

February 23, 2015

When I got married, I received this necklace as a present from my sister in law. She travelled all the way from London to Buenos Aires, and I guess she won't repeat such odyssey, considering she is not particularly in love with planes. I did love the gesture of hers, and I fell in love with this little necklace, immediately. I did not have idea who Simon Wilson was (a jewelry designer based in UK look for Butler&Wilson.co.uk) but I really liked it and I wear it usually in Summer. Once again we go back to seasonal jewelry... It fits tightly around the neck and it looks fabulous with shirts. It seems that this might be one of the most simple designs of this artist looking at his website. It is from 2007.

I continue using watercolors... I guess is the more accurate medium for shades at my level, but I am pretty eager to get back to acrylics with some piece. Hope you like it :)

Day 1: Lilla Rogers's Necklace

February 10, 2015

DId you Know that Lilla Rogers make jewelry? I read the story on her book "I just like to make things" (©Lilla Rogers, Quarry Book, 2013) about this passion on her and her determination to make a collection called ©Ruby Violet with lots of pieces of jewelry for crafters and curious artists. As I said in the first post, you can read the story in my Blog post here.

But talking about the necklace what I really love is to combination of beads and jewelry pieces that come so well. The choose of two golden pieces like the flowers and the Hippie symbol add a lot to this piece, and I love the shine that they provoke when I move in front of light. Don't you love the necklaces for that, for they make you feel?

30 Days of Necklace Project

February 9, 2015

As I told in my Blog, I was inspired by a wonderful present I received from our Fairy Art Mother, Lilla Rogers, from Lilla Rogers Studio and School. You can read the complete story here. I will try paint/draw a necklace by day. Using the medium fits on that day. I love necklaces and have several of my own. I recently discover how fun is to paint jewelry and this will be part of this game. I hope you like them and share them too. You can follow the images of the project in Instagram, follow me, I am Pencilorygram, and also in Facebook Pencilory Pencilory.  Thanks by coming by.
